Little Singapore

If you haven't made a trip to Little Singapore, then you're missing out on one of the Central Business District's best cheap and cheerful eateries. It's quite easy to miss this restaurant but once you pass through the door, you will be surprised by its size and your eyes will be greeted by the sepia, ink painting style wallpaper murals that envelop the walls.

This evening I was catching up with the fabulous Andrew and Misty and suggested we head to this restaurant for a meal as I was dying for a serving of their Combination Fried Hor Fun with egg sauce.

My dish came out quickly with the soft rice noodles floating in a delicate egg sauce, topped with chicken, prawns, tofu and Asian greens. The portion size was ample and could have quite easily fed two but when you're happily consuming this meal, I can say it is highly unlikely that you will want to share. The meals are cheap with the most expensive dish on the menu costing $14.50. My dish cost me $11.90 and the restaurant happily split bills. It's an unassuming place, constantly humming with energy, economical on your wallet and best of all, you'll leave full and happy.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Open: 7 days a week, lunch and dinner.
